Veteran journalist Datuk A Kadir Jasin warned his former media group Media Prima Bhd to stop criticising Tun Daim Zainuddin while siding with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak in his blog on Tuesday.

An economist, businessman, politician and a former Finance Minister of Malaysia, Daim is a vocal critic of Najib.

Kadir, the retired group editor of the New Straits Times Press group, now under Media Prima, noted that Najib was more vulnerable to personal attacks than Daim.

“If they say they have juicy information about Daim or any of their boss’ critics, they must remember that these people may also have even tastier information about their boss,” Kadir said in a post on his blog kadirjasin.blogspot.com.au.

According to Kadir, instead of highlighting the criticism against Najib, Malaysia’s mainstream media, which must have a government permit, have cast aspersions on those complaining about his rule.
