Media Prima Berhard in management reshuffle

Malaysia’s Media Prima Berhard has promoted Mohd Ashraf Abdullah to the role of group managing editor (news and current affairs, television networks and radio).

The 46-year-old was previously deputy group MD for Media Prima Television Networks News and Current Affairs.

He replaces Shaharudin Abd Latif who has becomes the group’s new news and editorial operations director.

Meanwhile Zainal Arifin, chief operationg officer of  Media Prima Digital, has been promoted to chief executive of the company’s enlarged digital business unit.

Media Prima group managing director Amrin Awaluddin told the New Straits Times that the new appointments reflected the company’s “strong succession plan” and would “consolidate MPB’s position as the largest integrated media group in Malaysia.”
