Singapore broadcaster welcomes 80 ‘young leaders’

As part of the ‘Hwa Chong Asia-Pacific Young Leaders Summit 2014’, eighty international students visited MediaCorp on Tuesday for a television and radio workshop, reports Channel News Asia.

The nine-day summit had students aged 16 to 18 from 13 countries.

They tried their hands at acting, producing and deejaying at MediaCorp, which is participating in the summit for the seventh time.

Participants will also get a chance to visit other key installations, statutory boards and private organisations.

Jahanvi Srinivasan, a student from the Vasant Valley High School in India, said: “It was a really good experience, I learnt about how it was behind the scenes, and how it was for radio jockeys and work and stuff.”
