New folk station launched by India’s Radio City

India’s 20-station network Radio City has launched its 12th web only station ‘Radio City Fusion’ on its online platform Planetradiocity.com.

The station will play the new sound of folk music with a combination of ethnic and urban sounds.

Its playlist will feature renowned singers like Kailash Kher, Salim – Suleiman, Talvin Singh, Wadali Brothers, Papon, Sonu Kakkar, Shafqat Amanat Ali, Susheela Raman, Bickram Ghosh, Advaita and Rahul Sharma.

Reflecting the growing popularity of this genre in India, ‘Radio City Fusion’ will play a carefully handpicked selection of urban folk music.

The channel is the latest addition to the network’s music portals after Radio City Classics, Radio City Dance, Radio City International, Radio City Love, Radio City Malayalam, Radio City Tamil, Radio City Smaran, Radio City Freedom, Radio City Indipop, Radio City Hindi & Radio City Fun Ka Antenna.
