Taiwan’s favourite K-Pop song revealed

As Korean pop music, or K-pop, continues to dominate in Asia, Taiwan’s Hit FM, has revealed the number one K-pop song in the country last year.

‘I’m Sorry’ by rock band CNBLUE was delcared the winner, based on the number of broadcast plays, album sales as well as online voting.

According to FNC Entertainment, the song was ranked number 6 on the 100 Song Singles Chart of 2013 which featured 54 Chinese, 18 international and 17 Korean songs.

CN is an abbreviation of ‘Code Name’ while BLUE is an abbreviation of the members’ individual images.

‘Burning’ represents lead guitarist Lee Jong-hyun, ‘Lovely’ represents drummer Kang Min-hyuk, ‘Untouchable’ represents bass guitarist Lee Jung Shin, and ‘Emotional’ represents lead vocalist Jung Yong-hwa.
