Mongolian National Broadcaster appoints new chief

Mongolian National Broadcaster (MNB) has appointed Oyundari Tsagaan as its new Director General following the resignation of Naranbaatar Myanganbuu.

Tsagaan is an experienced journalist who started her career as a TV reporter and political commentator at Mongolian National Television in 1993.

She has a Master’s Degree of Journalism from the University of California and prior to her new appointment worked as Director of Mongolian National Television.

Her predecessor, Myanganbuu, was in the job for nine years.

An MNB Council spokesperson said: “We hope that she will build an excellent team with MNB’s staff and will contribute to the development of public broadcasting service not only in Mongolia but also in Asia-Pacific Region.
