Kiss 92 Singapore rises to third

Less than a year after hitting the air, Singapore’s Kiss 92 has moved to number three in the ratings of English language radio stations, according to the latest Nielsen Radio Diary Survey.

Around 419,000 listeners tuned in per week between March 25 and May 19, up from 151,000 in the months following its launch last September.

The station, which targets females aged 30 to 50, is owned by SPH Unionworks, a joint venture between Singapore Press Holdings and the country’s union federation NTUC.

Kiss 92’s morning show is hosted by Maddy Barber, Arnold Gay and Jason Johnson.

Singaporean Jazz singer Claressa Monteiro presents a six hour workday show from 10am-4pm.

PM drive is hosted by singer-songwriter John Klass.

Evenings features the US syndicated show featuring American Idol host Ryan Seacrest.

The station’s music policy features hits from the mid-80s right up to today.

Mediacorp-owned Class 95 and Gold 90FM still hold the number one and two positions among English listeners in Singapore.

Chinese language station Y.E.S. 93.3FM is still number one overall with a 23.3 percent weekly audience reach.
