For the very first time, MediaCorp’s three Chinese radio stations are putting together a Chinese New Year album to usher in the Year of the Horse.

Consisting of nine songs sung by DJs from Capital 95.8FM, Love 97.2FM and Y.E.S. 93.3FM, the album will be launched and available at all CD Rama stores on January 9.

Twenty-six announcers have recorded vocals on the album.

The first hit of the album, translated as “Wishing You”, is a popular canto hit that has been re-written into a CNY song by Love 97.2FM DJ, Wallace Ang.

Three familiar Xinyaos (Singapore songs) have also been re-arranged to fit the festive mood.

Priced at S$17.80, the CD will also come with specially designed CNY couplets.

MediaCorp’s Chinese stations have arranged two autographed signing sessions.

DJs Ivy Chen Aiwei, Chen Ning, Bukoh Mary, Lin Lingzhi, Cai Lilian and Violet Chen Fenying will appear at Junction 10 Shopping Mall, Chua Chu Kang on January 12.

Other top announcers Cai Weibin, Zhong Kunhua, Chen Biyu, Hong Shengan, Zeng Shenglian and Qiu Shengyang can be seen at Square 2 Shopping Mall, Novena on January 19.
