20% growth target set for Bangkok stations

The company which operates Bangkok radio stations Cool Fahrenheit 93 FM and Cool Celsius 91.5 FM is planning to invest US$613,460 (20 million baht) in broadcasting infrastructure this year.

Coolism Co. Ltd has also alloted a $3 million (100 million baht) marketing budget as part of its 360 degree listener engagement strategy for 2014.

Confident that it can remain among the most popular stations in Bangkok, the company expects to bag some US$21.2 million 690 million baht in revenue, a 20 percent growth from last year.

Cool Fahrenheit 93 FM will continue with marketing activities like Cool Outing, Ink Eat All Around and Cool Privilege that have helped it remain the number one contemporary Thai music station in Bangkok for 12 consecutive years.

Marketing strategies for the adult contemporary station Cool Celsius 91.5 FM, which is relatively new, include raising brand awareness.

The company has also partnered with Thai and international music labels to organise Coolism Camp, an entertainment workshop aimed at educating communication arts students about the radio industry in the digital age.
