Sonic Bang rocks Bangkok

An estimated 50,000 music fans turned out for BEC-TERO Radio’s Sonic Bang 2013 concert in Bangkok on Saturday.

The inaugural show took place on six stages at the Impact Muang Thong Thani, a 30,000 square metre arena and convention centre.

Sonic Bang, billed as the ultimate international music festival experience, was organised by entertainment conglomerate BEC-TERO.

The company owns top Bangkok station’s Virgin Hitz 95.5 and Eazy FM 105.5FM, who heavily promoted the show in advance.

The festival featured 16 international acts including Jason Mraz, Pet Shop Boys, Placebo, Ash, Owl City and Far East Movement.

Among more than a dozen Thai artists also performing, was Slot Machine, Flure, Room 39, Sugar Eyes, Buddha Bless and Southside.
