No Nasi Liwet? No problem for Jakarta station

The traditional Indonesian dish Nasi Liwet is so popular in the capital Jakarta that one radio station has opened its own store selling the delicacy.

89.6 FM I-Radio has collaborated with the Local Foods Company to offer the famous meal from Java Island which mixes rice with coconut-milk, sliced pumpkins, chicken, eggs and sambal sauce.

I-Radio’s new ‘pop-up’ store has been set up at its office at Jakarta’s Sarinah Thamrin Building.

It is priced at $1.20 (Rp.15,000) for 250 grams and $2.10 (Rp.25.000) for 500 grams.

To boost traffic to the store, I-Radio DJs Sandy and Rafiq have made their own fun YouTube video showing the best way to serve Nasi Liwet.
