Top Indian vocalist wows Mirchi Live crowd

India’s Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM organised a performance by one of the country’s leading vocalists, Rekha Bhardwaj, in Mumbai on Friday.

A part of the station’s live music property Mirchi Live, the two-hour concert featured some of Bhardwaj’s greatest hits with a mix of Bollywood, folk and Sufi music.

She performed melodies like ‘GendaPhool’ and ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ to a packed house.

The station also aired an interview with Bhardwaj on its morning show ‘Hi Mumbai’.

Mahesh Shetty, COO of Entertainment Network india Limited (ENIL) the company that owns Mirchi, said: “In time to come we look forward to creating many more such musical offerings for our listeners and hope each one brings us closer to them.”

On being associated with Mirchi Live, Rekha Bhardwaj said: “I am sure that the music and celebrations we offered on this special day brought joy to each and every one of my fans.”
