The morning show host of Malaysia’s Astro Radio station Hitz FM – Ean Nasrun has lent his voice to the Waze navigation application.

He is the first local celebrity to feature on the popular smartphone app.

Astro Radio has previously partnered with Waze to provide comprehensive traffic information across all nine of its stations.

Waze uses real-time GPS data from its base of 50 million users and delivers highly accurate and useful traffic and navigation information.

The Waze voice pack is available for free on iOS, Android and Windows devices and users have to select ‘Ean’ for traffic navigator’s voice.

Ean Nasrun said: “I’m an avid user of the app and have been a big fan of the celebrity voices they have featured including Terry Crews and Kevin Heart.”

Jake Abdullah, CEO of Astro Radio said: “This partnership is a good example of how we are incorporating technology to help improve the lives of our listeners.  We hope to have more of Astro Radio’s announcers voices incorporated to the Waze app.”
