MediaCorp stations get behind ‘Design a Tee’

Singapore’s largest broadcaster, MediaCorp announced the ‘Design-A-Tee’ competition to bring Singaporeans together.

It is a first of its kind initiative where a tee-shirt will be designed by Singaporeans, for Singaporeans.

The design contest is part of the broadcaster’s run up to SG50 – Singapore’s 50th year of independence on August 9, 2015.

A panel of judges from MediaCorp, Denizen and SG50 will shortlist 20 designs to be made available for online voting by Singaporeans.

The top five voted designs will win a total of $12,000 cash and $6,000 worth of vouchers.

The winning designers and their designs will also be featured on MediaCorp’s radio, TV, print and online platforms.

They will be officially unveiled by MediaCorp artists, who will wear them at the Celebrate SG50 Countdown show on December 31 at Marina Bay Floating Platform.

Christina Chua, MediaCorp Senior Vice President of Marketing & Sales Planning said: “We hope that every Singaporean will be able to own one of these unique SG50 tee-shirts on the nation’s 50th birthday.”
