TNL Radio, one of Sri Lanka’s original commercial radio stations, has launched the next edition of its talent hunt contest ‘TNL Onstage 2014’, auditions for which will end on July 4.
Billed as the country’s biggest live music festival, the contest will take place between July and September and find the country’s best bands, soloists and DJs, who can also win prizes of $7672 (LKR 1,000,000).
The competition is in its 14th year and last year’s finalists included local bands like 51, Symphony Experiment X-rays, Audacity, Mash and Thoughtless.
Soloists who made it to the finals last year included Gyles, Chithru, Nathan, Viroshan and Rochelle.
There is no upper or lower age limit to the competition and musicians from all genres and styles are invited to apply this year.
Two or more participants will qualify as a band and have to send minimum of two demo tracks.
