Spotify opens in Taiwan and Turkey

Music streaming platform Spotify extended its services to Taiwan and Turkey on Tuesday.

Argentina and Greece also join the two Asian territories in allowing online access to more than 20 million songs from the world’s biggest record labels.

The company offers three different options for users:

Spotify Free – Instant music for free, featuring audio and video commercials.

Spotify Unlimited – Unlimited, ad-free music.

Spotify Premium – A mobile version with the ability to download songs when no internet connection is available.

As well as playlist creation, the platform operates several Artist Radio channels.

The two new regional services means Spotify is now live in five Asian countries and territories.

In April, Spotify launched in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

The service has more than 24 million users and around 6 million paid subscribers.
