RCS China organises user seminar in Taiwan

RCS China recently organised its fourth biannual user seminar on May 31 in Taiwan.

After doing business in China for 13 years, RCS has accumulated over 100 radio clients in the country.

The event’s objective was to get RCS users to meet with each other and share their success stories of using the software and introducing new ideas on how to create better radio.

The week-long event attracted over 40 delegates from all corners of China including China National Radio, Radio Shanghai, Radio Guangdong, Radio Hubei, Radio Jiangxi, Radio Shanxi, Radio Henan and Channel V China.

Their first stop was the Broadcasting Corporation of China (BCC, the biggest radio group in Taiwan and a 20-year client of RCS) where they attended a lecture by Mr. Zhuang, a famous professor from the Taiwan Mingchuang University, on what he believes is the future of radio and the challenges ahead.

Later, there was a lecture by Mr. Ying of Radio Advertisement Agency, the second biggest radio ad agency in Taiwan, on the art of doing better radio commercials and why radio will remain a viable media in spite of the onslaught of Internet and smart phones.

The next day, GM of M Radio of Taichung, Ling Jun Jie organized a session introducing delegates to the intricacies of successful electronic commerce operation.

It was followed by a lecture by radio consultant Jerry Sung on the differences and similarities between radio operations in Taiwan and China and how they can work together to make radio better across the Taiwan strait.

30 members from Taiwan Radio Union, which represents all Taiwan radio stations, also joined the event. Many of them are current RCS users and shared their experiences and views on where the Taiwan radio industry is heading.
