Radio One wants listeners to ‘Get Some Sun’

Encouraging listeners across its seven stations in India to step out and enjoy sports, fitness, food, music and travel, Radio One has come up with a six-week on air initiative called ‘Get Some Sun’.

As part of this, celebrities from different fields, who have been branded ‘Sun Chasers’ will join the station’s hosts to discuss great activities to indulge in.

These include tennis ace Leander Paes for sports, model Milind Soman for fitness, TV hosts Rocky and Mayur for food, singer Shaan for music, and travel show host Ian Wright for travel.

Earlier, the station invited listeners to share their ‘fun in the sun moments’ pictures online to win ‘100km of sunshine’ in the form of fuel vouchers.

An in-house Radio One Band also created a song and video called ‘We Are Sunchasers’ to drive traffic to the unique concept. It can be seen at>.

“We have decided to up the ‘engagement quotient with our listeners’ both on air and online. Over 90 percent of our listener base is online and also loves to explore new outdoor activities,” said Vineet Singh Hukmani, MD & CEO Radio One.
