Mediacorp tops Singapore’s latest ratings survey, SPH’s Money FM fastest growing station

 

Mediacorp took eight out of the top ten spots in Singapore's latest Nielsen Radio Diary Survey.

Conducted between September and October 2018, the survey tracked radio listenership of over 2,000 people aged 15 and above, with results weighted by age, sex and race to be representative of the Singapore population.

SPH Radio's Money FM 89.3 had the fastest growth of any station, gaining 59% more listeners than last survey to a total of 89,000 listeners.

Overall, SPH Radio's stable of five stations saw growth of 2% since the previous survey, putting the network's total listenership at 1.46 million. Besides Money FM 89.3, SPH Radio's UFM100.3 saw a 10% increase in listeners to hit 404,000.

Collectively, Mediacorp's 11 stations reach 78% of the market, up 1.2% from the last wave.

CLASS 95, with weekly listenership at 18.8% clinched the top position in the bi-annual radio survey.

Closely following CLASS 95 are Mediacorp’s YES 933, LOVE 972 and CAPITAL 958, which remain Singapore’s top three Chinese radio stations with weekly listenership at 18.5%, 17.9% and 15.9% respectively. Mediacorp’s Warna 94.2FM, GOLD 905, 987 and Oli 968 remained in the top ten.

The top three stations with the longest time-spent listening are Warna 94.2FM, CAPITAL 958 and Oli 968. CLASS 95 deepened its engagement with an increase in time-spent listening by 1 hour 38 minutes to 6 hours 33 minutes weekly.
