Lush goes local on S’pore National Day

Singapore’s Lush 99.5FM celebrated the country’s 49th National Day on Saturday by playing local music all day long.

Starting at 6am, the station’s playlist was curated and presented by Singaporean artists and other local acts.

The line-up included Shoot The Breeze featuring Dick Lee, Creative Director for this year’s National Day Parade, who went on air from 12pm to 1pm.

‘The Lushlist’ featuring The Sam Willows follwed from 1 pm to 2pm.

Later, from 5pm to 8pm, iconic DJ Chris Ho hosted ‘Clubscape ‘ which was followed by ‘Lush Mix’ by DJ Kiat from 8pm to 9pm.

Vanessa Fernandez, Assistant Programme Director for Lush 99.5FM said: “The Lush philosophy is centered on showcasing the Singapore art and music scenes. More than ten percent of our playlist comprises local music, so we thought this would be an apt way to celebrate National Day.”
