Fourth round of HK community pilot opens

The fourth round of Hong Kong government’s initiative to involve the local community in the making of radio programmes is now underway.

HK$45 million has been allocated for the scheme, a three year pilot project.

The Community Involvement Broadcasting Service (CIBS) has already seen more than thirty programmes made by the public, with the help of public broadcaster RTHK.

Those who want to serve different community groups through the production of radio programmes are being invited to apply for the latest round.

Themes for programmes include Religion and Philosophy, Ethnic Minorities and Science and Technology.

Selected applications will be broadcast from December 1 to 4, 2015 every day from 8 pm to 10 pm.

A public briefing will be held at Shek Kip Mei Community Hall in Kowloon on June 29 to introduce the project and the applications procedure in Chinese as well as English.
