Respected Singapore TV and radio executive Bernard Lim is in hospital after suffering a brain aneurysm, according to local media.

Channel News Asia reports that Lim, 45, underwent an operation on Monday and remains in a critical condition, although his vital signs are stable.

The Straits Times says it is unclear what triggered the attack.

Lim started his career as a DJ on MediaCorp’s Perfect 10 987FM and went on to become General Manager of English Programming responsible for stations including Class 95, Gold 90.5FM and 987FM as well as other roles.

After several years as Managing Director of entertainment firm LifeBrandz, Lim returned to MediaCorp earlier this year to become managing director for television.
