DW plans reporters digital safety workshop

DW Akademie – the training arm of Germany’s international broadcaster Deutsche Welle (DW) is to hold an digital safety workshop for journalists.

The five day session will be run online and will examine how to deal with new threats including hacking and digital surveillance.

The workshop is being put in on conjunction with Reporters Without Borders Germany.

The sessions are free of charge and are open to journalists and others who are interested in the topic in the wake of the NSA scandal.

It runs from December 2 to 6.
