Cambodia next to sign Asia Pop 40

Cambodia’s 97.5 Love FM will air the three-hour weekly-syndicated chart show Asia Pop 40 twice per week in Phnom Penh.

The show will make its debut next Saturday night at 9pm and will be repeated each Sunday morning.

Asia Pop 40 is the region’s first locally-produced syndicated chart countdown and currently airs in 16 markets across Southeast Asia.

Launched in 2013, the show is produced by Singapore’s EON Media Group and hosted by Asian media celebrity Dom Lau.

EON Media Group CEO and Executive Producer Rob Graham said: “Given Cambodia’s very young, music-mad population, Love FM saw the potential of Asia Pop 40 .”

Love FM’s Station Manager, Tim Sirois, commented: “It’s a first for Cambodia and the fact that it’s produced here in Asia makes it a double-bonus for our listeners – the quality production, the sense of Asian community.”
