Asia Pop 40 to air across Taiwan

International Community Radio Taipei will air the three-hour weekly syndicated chart show Asia Pop 40 twice per week across Taiwan.

The show will start airing from 9 am on November 29 on English CHR network ICRT FM100.

ICRT is the only English-language radio network with four transmitting frequencies in Taipei, Kaohsiung, Chiayi and Sanyi.

Asia Pop 40 id the region’s first locally-produced syndicated chart countdown and currently airs in 16 markets across Southeast Asia.

Launched in 2013, the show is produced by Singapore’s EON Media Group and hosted by media celebrity Dom Lau.

ICRT FM100’s General Manager, Timothy Berge, commented: ” Across Taiwan, we have a significant younger audience and we want to air a show that is more relevant for our listeners than the imported chart shows.”

EON Media Group CEO and Executive Producer Rob Graham said: “The Asia Pop 40 chart is becoming the main reference source for what’s hot in Asian music for the world’s music media.”
