Radio Mirchi Q3 profits up by 27 percent

Radio Mirchi, India’s 32-station network run by Entertainment Network India Limited (ENIL), reported a net profit growth of 27 percent for the quarter ended December 31, 2014, according to Livemint.

The company’s profit after tax (PAT) for the quarter was $5.3 million (Rs 329 million) compared to $4.17 million (Rs 259 million) in the same period last year.

Revenues for the quarter were also up 18.7 percent year-on-year at $18.83 million (Rs 1.17 billion).

The company’s EBITDA stood at $7.21 million (Rs 448 million), up by 17.2 percent while EBITDA margin for the quarter was 38.3 percent.

Commenting on the results, Prashant Panday, MD & CEO, ENIL, told The Times of India: “The bull run in the radio business continues. With Phase-3 auctions finally about to kick off, our game plan is aggressive, yet we are ever mindful of our profitability objectives.”
