Top Delhi band’s album premiers on Mirchi

India’s Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM launched Delhi band Faridkot’s second album, ‘Phir Se’ on their digital platform Mirchi Edge – an online station for home-grown independent music.

As part of the premier, the band played live unplugged versions of the songs on the album and shared their musical journey and inspiration with the listeners.

Faridkot was formed in 2008 when five music aficionados belonging to different genres of music came together to form a new genre of music which they call ‘Confused Pop’.

The band performed at various gigs across the country and in 2011, launched their first album ‘Ek’ which was an instant hit.

Talking about the launch on Mirchi Edge, the band’s lead vocalist Raj  said: “According to us, digital media is the game changer. With Mirchi Edge, we will be able to reach out to wider audiences across the country.”
