101 Jak FM has perhaps missed the chance to run a Rocktober music theme month so starting on Friday it kicked off Rockvember instead.

The station promises 30 days of the best contemporary rock from the likes of Limp Bizkit and Soundgarden as well as classic rock anthems.

A quick check on Google reveals the name Rockvember isn’t as left of field as it may first seem.

There are several other instances of music events in the US being branded with the same name.

Throughout Rockvember, Jak bosses have also challenged jocks to dress up as different rock stars and post photos on social media.
