Toddlers and tweens targeted in BIG FM RJ hunt

India’s BIG FM has launched a junior RJ hunt for children between six and 14 years of age.

Across its 45 city network, child radio-jockeys are being encouraged to audition to host their own show on Christmas Day.

Several schools in each city have been approached to take part.

The auditions will judge the kids on spontaneity, delivery and diction, smartness, general knowledge and RJing ability.

Five young RJs will be picked to go on air with the regular BIG FM team in each city.

The activity is being sponsored by Dabur Honitus, a leading brand of natural cough & cold syrup.

Commenting on the junior RJ hunt, Ashwin Padmanabhan, Business Head – 92.7 BIG FM said: “Children today are extremely smart and talkative and are a delight to hear on radio. We are confident of discovering RJs of the future through this exciting platform and thank Dabur Honitus for partnering on this venture.”
