Weekly cume up for SPH’s Chinese station

According to the latest Nielsen Radio Diary Survey results, Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) Chinese language station UFM 100.3 increased its weekly listenership by 40,000.

The station moved up one notch to 8th position with around 365,000 people tuning in every week.

UFM, which was earlier known as Radio 100.3 has the tagline “Playing your favourite songs which you can sing along.”

It also ran a series of promotions this year like the U1000 countdown where fans could nominate and choose the best 1000 songs of all time.

The campaign got more than half a million song votes and more than 800 fans gathered at the U1000 sing-a-long concert to cap off the countdown.

Carine Ang, Program Director for UFM 100.3, SPH Radio, said: “The team is encouraged by the upward trend of our listenership and will continue to give our fans the music that they love.”

Sim Hong Huat, General Manager of SPH Radio, said: “As 2015 approaches, the team will be relentlessly working on new ideas that will re-energise the Singapore radio landscape.”
