Kiss 92 maintains lead in share of listening

Kiss 92 remains the number one English station in Singapore by share of listenership in the latest Nielsen Radio Diary survey.

The Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) station has been battling for supremacy against legendary brand Class 95 since it launched two years ago.

In the September/October survey, Kiss saw its listenership rise 50,000 to 624,000, narrowly missing the number one position in weekly cume.

Over the last three months, Kiss 92 ran several listener promotions including Celebrity Soundcheck, where two fans walked away with $9,200 each.

Earlier this year, the station ran a ‘Bucket List’ campaign and gave away experiences like a diving adventure in the Great Barrier Reef, an Australian adventure roadtrip and a trip to the European countryside.

Sim Hong Huat, General Manager of SPH Radio, said: “The team has been working hard at making our radio stations a big hit and delivering what our fans want and the results clearly show it.”

Jamie Meldrum, Senior Program Director for Kiss92, said: “To grow a new station in two years is no easy feat. The team is overjoyed and are all hyped up to continue this extraordinary growth momentum.”

While all SPH stations made it to the top 10 in the survey, listenership for its other English station HOT FM 91.3 remained flat.
