Two Singapore jocks quit their radio shows

Two Singapore radio jocks have quit their jobs, one to continue pursuing his filmmaking dreams.

Divian Nair, who co-hosts the night-time Double D show on 987FM with Dee Kosh, announced his departure last Thursday.

According to Popspoken.com, Nair spoke about a possible career in filmmaking after recently directing a mini-film called ‘Candle’.

The 18 minute YouTube movie has already been viewed more than 300,000 times.

The film cost slightly more than US$100 to make.

The MediaCorp station’s website has been updated to show just Kosh as host of the 8pm-12 midnight timebelt.

Over at youth competitor Hot FM 91.3, Gerald Koh or Boy Thunder has done his last show.

Koh hosted the evening drive-time show, BT, Adam and Josh, with DJs Adam Piperdy and Joshua Simon.

The pair will continue the 4-7.30pm show as just Adam and Josh.

The 29-year-old told The Straits Times he was considering studying a degree and will be getting married soon but vowed to return to radio.
