SRG stations tour Malaysia for National Day

All four Star Radio Group (SRG) stations have embarked on the ‘Kamilah Malaysia’ (We Are Malaysia) tour around the country to thank their listeners.

Red FM, 988, Suria FM and Capital FM are going to various cities and towns giving away goodies and bringing people together for the country’s 57th National Day.

Hari Merdeka (Independence Day) is celebrated in Malaysia on August 31 to commemorate its independence from British colonial rule in 1957.

SRG tour kicked off on August 18 and will go on until the first week of October.

The stations have got six vehicles in different colours, representing different languages broadcast by them.

The team on the convoy includes popular announcers who are sending live feeds from their pit stops and giving away gifts to those whose birthdays fall in that month.

Star Radio Group Integrated Promotions Consultant Ida Farini Othman said the vehicles will go around various places and if they hear any place tuned into an SRG station, they will reward them with a plaque of recognition to say thank you.

The team has already toured the Klang Valley and will make their way to the north and south of the peninsula this month.

Listeners can follow the stations tour by tuning in on-air, or on their Instagram and Facebook accounts.
