Singapore’s Oli FM joins Chennai flood relief donation drive

MediaCorp Singapore’s Tamil station Oli 96.8FM will partner Little India Shopkeepers and Heritage Association (LISHA) and Singapore Red Cross Society in a donation drive to raise funds for those affected by the flood in Chennai.

Chennai is the capital of the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu and the city was brought to a standstill following heavy rains and flooding since last week.

Through this donation initiative, members of the public will be able to contribute towards aiding flood survivors as they begin to rebuild their lives.

LISHA will be setting up a temporary booth with a donation box along the pedestrian walkway outside of Little India Arcade, Serangoon Road.

Those who would like to donate are encouraged to make their contributions in cash or cheque at the booth.

The donation booth will remain open from Monday, December 7, to Wednesday, December 30 from 10am to 8 pm daily.

This initiative is also supported by Hindu Endowments Board (HEB), Narpani Pearavai, Indian Restaurant Association Singapore (IRAS), National University of Singapore Tamil Language Society (NUSTLS) and other Indian organisations.
