Red FM Gujarat fans dance to ‘Red Raas’

The Ahmedabad station of India’s 93.5 Red FM held a garba event called ‘Red Raas’ in the city recently.

Ahmedabad is the capital of Gujarat and garba is a traditional musical and lyrical representation of the state’s social – cultural background.

In its fifth season, ‘Red Raas’ combines garba with current issues and was held from September 25 to October 3.

The station launched a music album of nine new Garbas written by famous poets and composed by well-known composers to kick start the activity.

It also held a two-day on-ground event, which was attended by many celebrities and more than 10,000 fans and was broadcast live on-air.

The station says that the tracks from its ‘Red Raas’ album were played online by 560,000 users in just two days.

The program was viewed by 3795 people viewed across the world, which was streamed in HD live and more than 300,000 connected with it on Twitter.
