RAM Week 4: Big FM overtakes Radio City

According to Week 4 data from RAM subscribers in India from January 18 to 24, Big FM displaced Radio City to take the top spot in Mumbai, while the leaders in other markets remained unchanged.

In Mumbai, Big FM showed a share of 19.3 percent compared to City’s 18.8 percent to claim the top spot. Last week, both stations were tied at number one with 18.6 percent share.

There was no change in the third and fourth positions, which were taken by Radio Mirchi with 13.6 percent share and Fever with 12.5 percent respectively.

In Delhi, Fever continued to be a clear leader with 19.2 percent share, followed by Mirchi with 12.8 percent, Big FM with 12.7 percent and Radio City with 12.3 percent.

In Kolkata, Mirchi stayed at the top but lost market share, showing 20.1 percent compared to 21.1 percent last week.

Big FM was second with 16.3 percent, but once again showed the highest Time Spent Listening (TSL) of 5.2.

It was followed by Oye! FM with 10.4 percent and local station Aamar FM with 9.8 percent share.

In Bangalore, both the top stations – City and Big – lost market share while Mirchi gained.

Radio City was first with 22.9 percent, followed closely by Big FM with 22.6 percent.

Radio Mirchi remained third but gained 1.8 percent from last week to show 18.2 percent share while local player Radio Indigo was last with 1.5 percent share.
