Radio Misty enters India Book of Records

 

Indian station Radio Misty has made it to the India Book of Records for having the longest running duet show on private FM in the country.

The station broadcasts on 94.3 FM in Siliguri, North Bengal and on 95 FM in Gangtok as the only 24-hour FM station in the state of Sikkim.

It has entered the record book for its show titled ‘Misty Subha’, which has completed 2599 episodes from 14 November 2007 to 29 February 2016.

The show, hosted by RJ DT and RJ Bhavna, is the longest running duet show in the country.

Radio Misty air programmes in five languages – Hindi, Bengali, Nepali, Bhojpuri and English.

Its programming also features content from BBC and Radio Netherlands Worldwide.

Previously, the station entered the India Book of Records in 2009 for having the youngest radio CEO in Nishant Mittal, who was 22 at the time.

In the same year, Radio Misty made it to the Limca Book of Records for being the first station to play in five languages.

In 2011, it entered the Limca Book of Records again for being the first FM station to have partnered with Radio Netherlands.
