iM4U fm returns with DIYStyle

Malaysian youth station iM4U fm is back with its annual competition ‘Do It Your Style’, popularly known as DIYStyle.

This singing competition lets local artists experiment with their musical prowess in different genres and switch-ups.

The competition was first introduced in 2015 where  the station engaged local artists like Forteen, LiyanaFizi, DiandraArjunaidi and Ewal to battle against each other for the grand prize of RM 9,000.

DIYStyle 2.0 will feature 20 local singers of different genres and background.

The participating artistes are Juzzthin, Elizabeth Tan, Diandra Arjunaidi, Resh, Jonathan Tse, Narmi, Lukarts, Ali Aiman, Eyza Bahra, Ntahsape2ntah, Bambino Kiss, Lea Ismail, Aman, Ewal, Obiet, Jay Walia, Eleena Harris and Bil Musa.

Another highlight in this year’s DIYStyle is the participation from talents with special needs from different homes who will accompany the performers in their battle for RM 12,000.

The prize money will be donated to five different homes; PersatuanKanak – KanakSpastik Selangor & Wilayah Persekutuan KL, RumahAmal Cheshire Selangor, PersatuanKanak – Kanak Istimewa Kajang, PertubuhanKebajikanAnakYatim/MiskinKlang (PEYAKIN) and RumahKeluarga Kami.

“We are proud to bring back DIYStyle this year. This program not only showcases local talents but is also a great platform to showcase the undiscovered talents. These undiscovered talents are individuals with special needs, who have the music talent,” says Kartini Ariffin, iM4U fm Director.

DIYStyle 2.0 battles will be aired live everyday for 2 weeks  till April 8 and listeners can vote for their favourite performers on www.im4ufm.my from April 4 to 17.
