Radio Mirchi recruits hockey fans for new league

As the official radio partner for Hero Hockey India League 2014, Radio Mirchi is looking to recreate the tournament’s on-ground excitement for its listeners on air.

The second edition of the Hero Hockey India League will be held from January 25 to February 23.

Participating teams include Delhi Waveriders, Jaypee Punjab Warriors, Uttar Pradesh Wizards, Mumbai Magicians and Ranchi Rhinos. Matches will be played across Delhi, Mumbai, Punjab, Ranchi, Uttar Pradesh and Kalinga.

The station will provide listeners exclusive live analysis, interviews with the players during pregame, postgame and intermission reports besides giving them a chance to win free passes for the tournament.

Announcing the partnership, Vivek Modi, Vice President and Cluster Head North, Radio Mirchi said: “Hero Hockey India League is the perfect platform to nurture budding talents, which in turn will help us enhance our overall standard of the sport.”
