Power 98 listeners gripped by 13 hours of Sherlock

A never-before TV series marathon took place at a cineplex in Singapore on Sunday, supported by SAFRA Radio’s English lifestyle station Power 98.

The British series Sherlock, a contemporary adaptation of the Sherlock Holmes’ books by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle has become a cult success in Asia where it airs on the pan-regional TV channel AXN.

It stars actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.

Shaw Theatres Lido ran the first two seasons of Sherlock on the big screen back-to-back, together with the premier episode from season three, which got its TV premier in Britain on January 1.

Power 98 gave 20 listeners plus friends passes to the marathon which lasted an incredible 13 hours.

As well as interacting with the crowd on-ground, Power 98 DJs gave islandwide fans behind-the-scenes glimpses of the event via live on air and online roving reports.

Catch a glimpse of what went down at the event via the station’s Facebook page: www.facebook.com/power98online.

The new season of Sherlock airs on AXN from February 27 and producers say a fourth season is planned.
