Allen & Heath, designers and manufacturers of professional audio mixing consoles, has extended its range with the launch of two mixers and a new DJ software.

Qu-Pac is an ultra-compact digital mixer designed for live music and installed sound, targeted at bands and multi-purpose environments such as schools, hotels and bars.

It comes with a built-in touchscreen and iPad control app offering total recall of settings and preamps, multi-track recording to USB via Qu-Drive, a choice of personal monitoring solutions, channel ducking and multi-channel USB streaming.

The company has also extended its ZED series with the launch of ZED Power 1000, a compact 2 X 500W powered mixer with onboard FX, 9 band graphic EQ and USB recording / playback.

According to Allen & Heath’s Senior Product Manager, Nicola Beretta, it is a great solution for gigging musicians, schools, rental companies, hotels and conference venues.

Qu Pac and ZED Power 1000 will be available from March 2015.

The company has also launched Serato DJ software to support its Xone:DB4 and DB2 digital DJ FX mixers.

It will allow DJs using the mixers to use Serato DJ software without the expense and hassle of an external interface and create powerful DVS setups simply by purchasing the Serato DJ Club Kit.
