‘Monsoon Magic’ on Big FM

With the onset of the monsoon, India’s 92.7 Big FM is celebrating it with a special segment called ‘Monsoon Magic’.

Popular film critic Bhawana Somaya will present Bollywood film songs shot in the rains featured on the breakfast show of the network’s Mumbai station, hosted by RJ Siddharth.

The songs will be complemented by monsoon sagas of Bollywood icons Deepika Padukone, Zoya Akhtar and Shankar Mahadevan amongst others.

The segment will also run on the station’s weekday retro show ‘Suhana Safar with Annu Kapoor’.

It will also feature a sneak peek into the making of some of the memorable romantic rain songs like ‘Pyaar Hua Iqraar Hua’ from Shree 420 and interesting trivia on romantic film locations.

The RJs will give timely monsoon updates and forecast, utility tips and monsoon food recipes.

Speaking of the campaign, Ashwin Padmanabhan, Executive Vice President and National Business Head, Reliance Broadcast Network Limited stated: “With the onset of monsoons in our country, one remembers Bollywood’s dances in the rains, the romantic love songs and the iconic scenes under the rain showers. To bring alive the magic of the season and take listeners back to the evergreen era of Indian Cinema, we have brought together a mix of beautiful monsoon melodies.”
