MediaCorp stations top Singapore’s latest Nielson survey

According to Singapore’s latest Nielsen Radio Diary Survey results, eight out of the top ten stations are MediaCorp radio stations.

Class 95FM continues to be listeners’ top English station with a listenership of 16.2 percent.

Gold 905 had a listenership of 11.3 percent and is the most-listened-to English station playing songs from the 80’s and 90’s.

987FM remains the ‘Number One Hit Music’ station in Singapore with listenership at 9.1 percent.

MediaCorp’s Chinese stations Love 97.2FM, YES 933 and Capital 95.8FM retain the top three most-listened-to radio stations in Singapore, with the number one spot going to Love 97.2FM with 20.2 percent listenership.

YES 933 and Capital 95.8FM were in second and third positions with listenership at 18.2 percent and 17.3 percent respectively.

According to the last Wave survey, Tamil station Oli 96.8FM saw the biggest jump in weekly reach with an increase of 22,000 listeners.

Its reach of 306,000 people is the highest achieved since the Wave in 1999 and takes it to the 10th spot in the top ten stations.

“We’re very happy that Class 95FM continues to be the most listened to English station in Singapore. We thank our listeners and partners for making us their top choice as we deliver our best to them. Stay tuned for more compelling content, experiences and of course, great music,” said Erina Cook, Assistant Vice-President for Class 95FM and Gold 905.

“We have had an enduring and intimate relationship with our listeners. We are grateful to have had them with us all these years and we would like to thank each and every one of them for their continued encouragement and support,” said Rebecca Yap, Vice-President for Chinese Programming, Family Segment, MediaCorp.
