MediaCorp’s music and station streaming platform MeRadio has been upgraded with several new features.

Singapore’s largest broadcaster launched the service in January, allowing listeners to stream any of its 13 stations in all four official languages.

But in a major upgrade previewed at last month’s Radio Asia conference in Hanoi, MeRadio now allows users to download and share songs, stream their own playlists and listen to music collections picked by celebrities.

MeRadio’s latest version lets users buy or rent single tracks or bundles of songs.

Also new in version 2.0 is the ability to preview songs.

The unlimited streaming subscription is priced at S$10.59 per month.

Version one of MeRadio was downloaded 1.4 million times and the service has close to 400,000 unique visitors per month.
