MediaCorp appoints executive to oversee studio move

Singapore’s largest broadcaster, MediaCorp has appointed Yeo Mui Sung to the newly created role of Chief Campus Officer.

Yeo is currently the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

In her new role, she will provide oversight and direction for development and estate management as the group relocates to its new campus at Mediapolis

She will also continue to oversee the Singapore Media Academy and the company’s international events business VizPro.

MediaCorp, whose business includes TV, print, magazines and 13 FM radio channels, is due to move from its current premises at Caldecott Hill to the purpose-built campus in 2015.

A previous plan to build new headquarters at Bukit Batok was shelved due to the 2008 financial crisis.

MediaCorp’s current Financial Controller Jamie Ang will take over from Mui Sung as the next CFO.

Both appointments are effective from August  1.

Mr Shaun Seow, MediaCorp’s Chief Executive Officer said: “I want to thank Mui Sung for stepping up to her new role leading our campus move. The move is more than a physical relocation of facilities; it is an integral part of our transformation agenda. Mui Sung has the right skills for this mission-critical role.”
