Masala! to pick Dubai’s best Indian station

Dubai’s Masala! Awards 2014 has announced the shortlist for its Best Indian Radio station category ahead of a ceremony on November 28th at Madinat Jumeirah hotel.

The awards were instituted in 2008 by UAE publication Masala! and recognise the achievements and contributions of the Asian community in the country.

Bollywood music stations City 1016 and 105.4 FM Radio Spice are nominated along with Josh 97.8 FM, which has popular shows like ‘Wake Up With Jaggu and Tarana’ and ‘The Scoop with Valda’.

Popular Indian station Radio Mirchi, which broadcasts on 88.8 FM in Dubai is also on the shortlist.

Last year Mirchi was picked at top station.

Suno 1024, one of the older stations which targets kids as well as families, is the last finalist.
