‘ True Love Conversations’ (TLC) – a show on 90.7 Love FM, Manila will be adapted into a ballet performance at Ballet Manila’s 19th performance season this month.

The event features a repertoire of the classics and new choreographic works.

Hosted by popular DJ Papa Jack, whose real name is John Gemperle, TLC is a top-rated night time call-in show in the Philippines.

It features listeners calling Papa Jack to share their relationship issues and seek his advice.

The ballet performance based on the show will be a series of vignettes exploring love and relationships.

Created by choreographers Gerardo Francisco, Francis Jaena, Jonathan Janolo and Michael Divinagracia, it will also feature Papa Jack.

Ballet Manila’s Gala night is on Aug. 22, 7:30 p.m. at Aliw Theater, CCP Complex, Pasay City.

Other performances are slated on Aug. 23, 24, 29, 30 and 31.

Prima ballerina Lisa Macuja-Elizalde, Ballet Manila artistic director told philstar.com: “We will always perform traditional favorites but at the same time, we want to showcase our versatility by highlighting a range of new pieces.”
