Malaysia’s Astro group stations are running an initiative called ‘Astro Kasih’ to aid victims of a devastating fire at Kampung Tanjung Kapur in Kudat.

On August 5, a fire destroyed most of the coastal village, which had many wooden houses built close together.

More than 400 people were left homeless.

Through ‘Astro Kasih’, ERA FM, Hitz FM and MY FM are urging residents of Sabah to join efforts in donating daily supplies to the victims.

A collection centre has been set up at the ASTRO Kota Kinabalu Customer Service Center located in the KK Times Square until August 14.

Astro DJs are present at the centre to assist locals who wish to donate non-perishable food items, new and pre-used clothing, kitchen utensils, mattresses, pillows, blankets and other items for the victims.

Business owners from food manufacturing, F&B, retail, clothing industries are also welcome to donate provisions, clothing, shoes and books for children.
