Malaysia’s iM4U fm Celebrates World Radio Day

Malaysian youth station iM4U fm is dedicating its programming on February 11 to commemorate this year’s World Radio Day (WRD).

WRD is held annually on February 13 to celebrate radio and its unique power to touch lives and bring people together.

The theme for this year’s WRD is ‘Radio in Times of Emergency and Disaster’.

The station will be speaking to representatives from Amboi FM, a radio station that is founded by the blind in Malaysia and Asyik FM, a radio station for Orang Asli on its show Good Nite All Starz with Fiza and Shac, from 8pm to 12am.

They will be discussing on the influence of radio in the different communities and its role.

Besides having special guests on its late evening show, iM4U fm has also invited 20 children from  Yayasan Chow Kit and 20 youths from KL Krash Pad to visit its studio.

They will be joined by 10 representatives from Persatuan Orang Kerdil.

This is their first visit to iM4U fm since its operation in 2015.

“We are excited to celebrate this year’s World Radio Day with individuals from different background and interests. It is inspiring to know that iM4U fm has garnered the support from listeners of all walks of life,” says Kartini Ariffin, iM4U fm director.

“The radio industry has evolved tremendously over the years, but it remains significant and relevant. We are glad that there is now more content that caters to different communities,” she adds.
