Lite 87FM Sri Lanka takes ‘Greatest Hits’ show

Sri Lanka’s Lite 87FM has become the latest station to take the syndicated show ‘The Greatest Hits of Music’.

The two-hour programme, which prides itself on playing a wide variety of music from the last 50 years, is presented by Hong Kong-based host James Ross.

Previously, Ross worked as a presenter and producer for the UK’s BBC Radio 2 and London’s LBC before moving into television.

The Greatest Hits of Music began broadcasting in 2011 and is now carried by 15 stations around the world.

It is available for syndication from Lightning International, based in Hong Kong.

Ross said of his new station: “I’m excited that The Greatest Hits Of Music will be broadcast by Lite FM which is the leading English station in Sri Lanka for the 25-54 age group.  We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with the TNL Radio group”.

The show airs on Saturday from 2-4pm on Lite 87FM, which runs an adult contemporary format and was launched in 1999.

The station is owned by the TNL radio network which also runs TNL radio, Rhythm FM and News Radio.
